Handheld workshop
Today, I learned how to blog. The information seems overwhelming. I still feel quite nervous about it, but I must admit it is interesting. Rolly taught us how to create our own blogs, post an entry, copy and paste pictures and or text, and also create a link. We are required to do some of the assigments Rolly posted in SJSCoolSchool.com in order to earn our graduate credit for this class.
We browsed Tony Vincent’s website www.learninginhand.com. Here, I read some articles on using the Handhelds, browsed at pictures, and view some sample lesson plans. This site is helpful as a source of information to some of our class assignments.
Right now I’m already interested in making a quiz from the quizler program, and not so sure what else. Need to browse the site again.

Great to have you join us in this grad. class, Karen. I’m also very happy to hear that you used your Tungsten E2 and wireless keyboard at the MASCOT conference at UOG — taking notes while at the sessions.
Quizzler is a great program and there are so many other great programs you can use in Language Arts. Keep blogging, and hopefully you’ll get to comment on our 6th grade students’ blogs. Visit my other blog for this purpose at: http://stjohns.edublogs.org.

Hello!~! I think I would like typing better than writing… can we do it with our palms if we have our own?! I am really opposed to the choice of restaurant!! I went there before, it didn’t taste good… *-___-* It also costs a LOT! I think we should change to like, maybe Hyatt or some’n… If you check your blog daily, I think it’ll be a good source to communicate with students!!

Hello, Mrs. Alvia. Welcome to the world of blogging! Pretty exiting, huh. As you continue blogging, things will get really interesting. Don’t worry, when you get used to blogging, you’ll get more and more comfortable with it.

Sorry about my careless mistake, Mrs. Alvia. The “exiting” is supposed to be “exciting”.

Mrs. Alvia, blogging is pretty simple. I’m sure that you’ll get the hang of it pretty soon. About the handhelds, if you’re going to make a quiz for us, please make it EASY.

I agree with Brian and Xiang. Blogging is very simple, easy, and pretty exciting.

Last year, we did Quizzler too. Mr. Maiquez taught us how to work and also how to make quizzes in it. Mrs. Naz usually made us do it for tests and our score on the palm would be part of our test grade. So if we made a mistake, there is no doing over again. Aaaaaaahhhhh!!!!!!!!

Although all these tech things can be confusing and overwhelming, as long as you are starting your journey, that’s what’s important. I hope you continue to be open and willing to explore how you can continue to educate using technology.
