My first blog

I wonder what this blog can do and how can it really help me and my students with our daily lessons. I’m afraid this might be too complicated and hard to control. I’m very concerned about student and teacher privacy issue.

Don’t worry about it being too complicated, Ms Alvia.

The students use their first names, pretend e-mails and they have been instructed on blogging safety.

There are lots of literature circles transferred to blogs. Famous writers write lots of blogs. The blogging format is very good for planning and thinking out. It inspires higher-level thinking.

The blog has many inbuilt controls. For instance, when I write to the sixth-graders, I often have to wait to see my comments moderated.

Enjoy blogging, Ms Alvia. I look forward to seeing what you and your class come up with!

Hi! I am a teacher in Tennessee and I will be doing a workshop for other teachers on blogs. I like how you have your blog set up. I would like to use yours as an example if that is not a problem.
    keep up the good work!
